CPIM protest demanding minimum wages and dearness allowance for beedi workers

Mangaluru: The DK District unit of the Communist Party of India (Marxist) organised a Janagraha protest in front of the DC office on Wednesday to demand minimum wages and dearness allowance for beedi workers.

The protestors also demanded solution to various problems facing the district including that of sand scarcity as well as the delay in completion of flyovers at Pumpwell and Thokkottu. The protestors also condemned the ’failure’ of the local MP.

Party leaders K R Shriyan, Yadav Shetty, Bharathi Bolar and others participated in the protest.
