Vishwa Konkani Student Scholarship Fund (VKSSF), set up by World Konkani Centre, Mangaluru, has invited applications for Merit-Cum-Means Scholarships-2018 from Konkani-speaking students belonging to any caste and religion, seeking professional education in engineering and medical streams. The mother tongue of the candidates should be Konkani compulsorily. The candidates, who are seeking admission to the first year BE or MBBS course in 2018 may apply.
The candidates must have scored above 70% in SSLC and in the core subjects in PUC and also secured a ranking of 20,000 or below in the Common Entrance Test (CET) or qualifying Marks in National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET). The total family income should be less than Rs 4.5 lakh per annum. Candidates fulfilling the above criteria can apply online for the scholarships through www.vishwakonkani.org. July 10 is the last date to apply. Applications received in hardcopy will not be processed. Visit the above-mentioned website for other criteria.
