Mangaluru: A fire mishap at the temporary market at Suratkal has damaged as many as eight shops during the wee hours of Wednesday. Three shops including a vegetable shop have been fully gutted.
An electric short circuit during the rains accompanied by thunder and lightning is suspected to be the cause of the fire which was first noticed at around 2 am.
The loss is not estimated yet. A case has been registered.
