Karkala: Two young men, who were living under the same roof and who were relatives killed themselves by consuming poison. Preetesh (24) and his aunt's son Naveen Poojary (28), both residents of Garadinagara Nivasa, are the deceased.
Preetesh worked as a receptionist at a hotel in Udupi and Naveen Poojary worked in the accounts department of a factory. Both Preetesh and Naveen, who lived under the same roof, were more like friends than relatives. They used to have meals together and sleep in the same bedroom.
A liquor bottle was found in their room. It is suspected that they might have mixed poison with alcohol and consumed the same after the dinner. A case in this regard stands registered in the rural police station here.
